Bogor bears the nickname Kota Hujan its mean the Rain City, suggesting that it is very wet and nearly always rains even during the dry season. Locals jokingly advise getting any sightseeing done in the morning because it's guaranteed to rain in the afternoon.
The town was the capital of Indonesia during the brief British occupation. Under Stamford Raffles the name of this town was Buitenzorg. Stamford Raffles wife passed away in Bogor and we can see her grave in Bogor Botanical Garden until now.

Next to Botanical Garden is a Presidential Palace with a deer

Bogor is a very nice place, I think I've been there. I've visited the Taman Safari. I'll be with friends for a visit to Jakarta but we'll be staying most of the time at Bandung hopefully from Feb. 20-Feb. 28.
