The place where I was born is a town names Cianjur. Cianjur is regency belonging to Jawa Barat (West Java) Province, Indonesia.
Cianjur is about 120 km South from Jakarta, 60 km from Bogor and 60 km West from Bandung (Capital city of Jawa Barat Province).
Cianjur known as “Kota tauco” means Tauco City, because in this town has many producer of tauco, tauco is soup made from Soya bean.
The most famous for Cianjur its rice, rice from the region known has a good tasting and fragrant.Besides rice and tauco the another popular food from Cianjur is manisan ( sweets). Manisan is preserved fruits made from almost all kind of fruits.
In the South and West of the region has some big tea plantation such as; Pasir Nangka, Panyairan and Gunung Cempaka in the South and Gedeh tea plantation in the West. While in the north there has cocoa and rubber plantation.
