Mount of Merapi

It is still around Yogyakarta.

Located north of the city, conical volcano mount of Merapi (mountain of fire) is one of Indonesia's most active volcanoes and one of the world's most densely populated areas.

Mount of Merapi has erupted 68 times since 1548.

This mountain its very close to Yogyakarta and thousands of people live on the flanks of the volcano, with villages as high as 1700m above sea level.
